The Activate-Us project is a brand new community-led initiative funded through Sport England and National Lottery money, with an aim to increase participation within the Braunstone and Rowley Fields area by delivering accessible and informal sport and activity sessions.
The project will offer a variety of activities, such as Zumba and Walking Football, in locations around the targeted areas, such as Braunstone Park and Braunstone Leisure Centre; with a particular emphasis to get residents active at least once a week.
The Project Activators will play a crucial role within the project, as ultimately you will be our face to the community. You will be tasked with delivering the projects sessions and activities, which will include a range of activities and sports, and will need to play a key role in ensuring that we are getting as many residents as possible involved.
You will also need to liaise with key partners and local community groups, to ensure that we are maximising the projects reach and are offering participants a wide range of opportunities. (Please refer to the post’s Job Description for more details)
